You have to start again. Nooooo!!!! Who writes these instructions? There must be a space in hell reserved for such sadists, you think, wrenching and pulling wrongly placed pieces apart.
If you introduce a concept to them, when they are young, and normalise it for them than they won’t have a problem with it. We create the attitudes of the young. They are not born to hate or judge.
I still feel saddened by all the negative rhethoric that surrounds mothers who choose to bottle feed for whatever reason. I have no problem with people who do breastfeed – in fact I’m slightly envious of their confidence and determination – I applaud their ability to do this. I just wish myself and the Bottle Brigade could be left to quietly get on with our own way of feeding.
There is something very peaceful about watching a small child play. For one thing it provides a lovely break from the screaming, temper tantrums and endless noise that is usually present in the house. It’s quiet, gentle play.
Some days that can be much harder than others. That is when family take it upon themselves to row in and lend me an oar (or two). That way I can’t drift too far into maudlin waters.
Laziness or just a way to maintain my sanity? I’m still trying to decide.
But emotions can sometimes be overblown in toddlers. They will miss you a little so obviously this calls for an Oscar-worthy performance that Anne Hathaway would have been proud to emulate in Les Mis.
